Health is simple. #NOT!

It’s 2017. It’s safe to say that for at least 5 decades we’ve known that the two secrets to living a longer and healthier life are exercise and a good diet.

But let’s face it: exercising isn’t fun for most people. It takes time, energy, motivation and putting up with moderate amounts of pain. It takes getting over the self-doubt and the judgmental glances from Six-Pack-Sarah at the gym.

And eating healthy isn’t easy at all either. In addition to blatant misinformation and regular contradictions in poorly conducted or biased studies, our bodies function very differently and what works for you may not work for me at all. And of course, fried dough, fried Mars bars, fried ice-cream — you name it — are all bloody delicious.

Sure, there are a ton of folks out there who have no problems getting up at the crack of dawn to go gliding over mountains on their fancy bikes or running shoes. Most of us however, alternate between bursts of disciplined commitment (usually starting in January) and returning to the welcoming embraces of our couches and Netflix.

So.. is there any hope? 

Having ourselves struggled with creating better habits, we started asking some questions and brainstorming. What if it were possible to enjoy exercising instead of just enduring it? And what if healthy food could be just as delicious, if not more, than our favorite greasy indulgences?


This is precisely why we created Vivo: to make healthy living fun and easy.

We’re starting off with the most fun and motivating workout classes that you’ve ever experienced. Our classes are taught by elite trainers from the nation’s top gym Equinox (and from other top boutique gyms soon) and allow you to choose from 1,200 workout playlists across genres like Pop, House, Rock, Hip-Hop, Dubstep and 80s.

So whether you’re interested in running, biking, HIIT, yoga or something else, we have a range of classes for you to choose from. In the coming weeks, expect to see an ever increasing degree of personalization in the content — our goal is to design programs that are 100% adapted to each user’s needs.

Finally, we are foodies at heart. We’ve lived in Spain, India, Brazil, Boston, Miami and San Francisco. We understand and appreciate simple as well as complex flavor profiles. We’re working with an amazing group of chefs and nutritionists to make sure that our recipes and meal plans have the perfect mix of macro and micro nutrients. More on that front soon!
